Sweet bean sauce (also known as sweet bean paste, sweet soybean paste, sweet flour sauce, or sweet noodle sauce) is a thick, dark brown Chinese sauce made from wheat flour, sugar, salt, mantou flour, and fermented yellow soybeans. Sweet bean sauce is sometimes used in dishes such as Peking Duck and Zhajiangmian and it is good for lots of cuisine as well. Keep away from direct sunlight and store in a cool dry place.
